There are many forms of aggressive behavior, all of which are very disturbing. It may be a boss or someone else in the workplace. It may be a partner! It may be a family member! Or, we, ourselves may display unloving aggressive behavior. The list goes on!
Aggressive behavior is shown in tone of voice, anger, unacceptable remarks, etc. The individual who displays aggressvie behavior actually enjoys making others feel 'little', putting them down, making them feel unworthy or insignificant or ignorant. The aggressive individual enjoys 'throwing' negative, unkind, hurtful remarks at someone in front of others.
In short, the person with aggressive tendencies seems to enjoy being constantly hurtful to someone else, perhaps to compensate for his/her own shortcomings. It seems the aggressive personality can only find negativity in all and that is a reason to initiate arguments and unpleasantries. Once an aggressive person finds someone who 'takes it', it never stops!
The person on the receiving end sometimes puts up with this behavior if it happens in the workplace for fear of losing a job. If it happens at home, the individual fears losing their partner. The receiver of aggressive behavior is in constant turmoil not knowing from day to day what will happen.
This affects one's physical and emotional well being to say the least. Oftentimes, the receiver of aggressive behavior just feels helpless and resigns to the fact that is is his/her fate to be constantly abused in this manner.
